Pam Nishikawa has taught beginning and intermediate djembe classes in Whittier for the past five years, Santa Barbara and Ventura for four years, and at Motherland Music in Los Angeles. She was also leader of the popular all-woman drum group A Joyful Noise in Santa Barbara.
Drums are provided. Class size is limited to 10 people. Please call 562-665-7211 if you'd like to sign up in advance for the class.

Drum circle is USUALLY held the first Sunday of every month; rain cancels. Bring your rhythms to share with the circle! Dancers and children are always welcome. Hey, this is not just for hippies and middle aged people--you should try it! Drumming is beneficial for coordination, and is an excellent mood elevator and social activity.
Next circle will be held on SUNDAY, MAY 4 from 3:30-5:30 p.m. (REGULAR TIME)
Free! Some percussion toys will be provided. Bring some water to drink, a chair AND A JACKET.
We'll meet near the basketball courts and trees.
Come explore your rhythmic side! Drums will be provided. Pam Nishikawa facilitates this monthly drum circle. You may be as bold or as shy a player as you'd like...but the main thing is to tune in and play along with others!
One Saturday a month from 7:30 to 9:30 pm. May 17, June 7, July 12, and August 9.
